Ship Foodstuff Abroad From Nigeria

We’re working to ensure that there are more countries for you to be able to ship foodstuff to. Due to the immigration and customs offices and their strict regulations on imported food, it may take some time for some. Most of these countries explicitly say no to imported foods and others decline various specific kinds of food.

The following list of foods can be sent abroad

  • First, noodles
  • Tubers (yam, potatoes)
  • Grains (beans, rice, etc)
  • Last but not least, oils (groundnut, coconut, palm, castor, etc)

The following list of foods cannot be shipped abroad:

  • Meat, fish
  • Pre-cooked meals
  • Perishable foods

If you need to ship foodstuff abroad from Nigeria, here are a few tips you should pay attention to:

  • Ensure that your food is well packaged. Your goods typically travel a long way and it’s very necessary to ensure that they’re well packaged to avoid the risk of them dropping off or falling apart from one stage to the other.
  • Specify the food items in your package. Oftentimes, people make the mistake of not declaring what’s in the package and then have their package altered at customs. To avoid this happening, please state what’s in your package so we can let you know if it’s stuff you can ship.
